Dear all, we’ve updated our Education section to include T’s coveted conversion examination notes. Its not all of it, but the best of it. Enjoy! Remember to like our pages if you use our notes, especially if you’re considering graduating to ‘practise’!
Dear Education board readers, you may be delighted to know that we at ViperFusion have assembled a new team of writers for the Education board and will be pushing out new notes for your reading pleasure in the coming months. We hope you will have a good summer and year ahead!
The wordpress foundation has taken the move to retire support for legacy systems such as IE6. Thankfully, Raven Talon Studios has already dropped support for that system over two years ago so current and new clients will not be affected by this ‘major’ change. On another note, Google also dropped support for IE6 over a year ago.
In line with Google’s drop of support for Internet Explorer 6, the website development arm of Raven Talon Studios will no longer provide support to the Internet Explorer 6 browser. There will be a 20 day grace period for IE6 users to upgrade to IE7+ or better browsers such as webkit and gecko-based browsers.
Due to popular request, we have added a law forum to the site. It will be moderated by student and graduate experts in the law. Just ask your questions there.
Even though I make all my clients’ websites functionally compatible with IE6 and IE7, we advise them to stop using it because of related security issues. Now, we cite BBC for the information that IE is insecure and can pose a high-level risk to an organisation’s valuable assets. There is no longer any excuse to use IE, especially if you work in an investment bank or law firm. If you cite that IT won’t allow it, cite the BBC article and take it to their boss. It is time for change.
ZOMG!!! I have resolved the longstanding eyesore that results when viewing this website using IE6~ It looks OK now.
Subversion is insanely complex (un-mac-like) for the part-time developer on a mac who uses Coda thinking it can help him because it is so simple to use. So I’ve written this PDF file to help us hapless developers set up a repository on our development servers and use it with Coda.
