    NYC Weekend

    NYC weekend #1::

    Friday evening – Chicago Musical at Times Square; the theatre was an experience in itself and the show was spectacular. The small theatre allowed more audience participation and we felt more drawn to the cast than in similar performances in Hong Kong where the venues are massive.

    Saturday – Walk around Little Italy and Chinatown. Late afternoon in SOHO where there are designer boutiques and the much-awaited Apple Store. The MOMA design shop was very nice, housing tidbits from acclaimed designers all over the world. The theme set me in the mood to visit the real museum itself.

    Sunday – unknown. Will spend some time inside to fix up photos and post some online.

    Cliff in the Big Apple

    I’m writing from New York from my apartment dining room facing Lexington Avenue after dinner having watched the sun set the sky lilac and the shadows low. There is some wireless access across the street and that’s what I’m using. Life’s pretty good out here – work in the day, sight see in the afternoon; but hey, what more could you ask for? Expect picture updates in the weekends.

    Return from Guilin

    Written by Cliff on Thursday 16 June 2005 at 2:28 pm
    guilin-digest.jpg We have just returned from Guilin. Great place, though a bit hot. The food there was very tasty, composed mostly of fish, river produce, fresh vegetables and spices. The weather was inhospitable though, being mostly wet and cloudy. We biked through the fields through sun and rain watching the lush green jagged landscape pass us by. Children played by the many crystal clear rivers and farmers carried their ducks and fruits to the markets to sell. Rather beautiful, I must say.

    CSR in Shenzhen

    I am currently writing from my hotel room in Shenzhen (TaiRan Hotel). They have internet access in rooms! The decor is not bad either although the quality is still low to some extent. Too happy to sleep although it is not the effect of the CSR causes themselves.
