This summer, for the period of 10 weeks, I have been working, along with Jennifer from Hong Kong, for the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York – the biggest Dragon Boat Festival in the USA. We have been doing pre-fesitival work in the office including contacting sponsors, advertisers, toilet vendors, security, firemen, policemen, medics, teams, designers, printers and volunteers.
It had been hectic the week before the festival and it has been pleasantly quiet during the festival itself with temperatures soaring above 36 degrees under the sun. We found ourselves working in the lake during the thunderstorm at the end of the festival, however. Three trees on the festival site had been split in half and left smouldering by lightning. No fear, though, as we left during the third storm to the safety of a nearby restaurant.
Its too busy to write around here. I get up at eight, go to the office, come back from the office and then go for a swim. Too tired to write… Need holiday.
Who are the Champions in the races!?
