    Certain Accessibility Issues

Written by Cliff on Friday 29 June 2007 at 12:14 pm

Due to a certain VIP arriving from China and staying at a certain Hotel in Wanchai, there are certain groups protesting in the area. Police have set up roadblocks and traffic redirections causing certain accessibility issues to important facilities including the Wanchai District Court, Inland Revenue Department and pubs. These arrangements have stirred certain emotions from certain legal offices around the territory. Aircraft also had problems on the eve of the VIP’s arrival when the Hong Kong airport was reduced to certain capacity. July 1 is certainly a big day.

    On Public Keyboards

Ever since I took a swab from the high school piano, I have been adverse to using public equipment touched by the hands of many.

That was a biology experiment we did some time ago in high school. We took a sample from the school piano and let it grow in a petri dish in ideal conditions. After a week, we were disgusted to see the petri-dish teeming with bacteria and other strange organisms.  I washed my hands more frequently ever since.

I will also hesitate to be in contact with the university’s computers for too long also. Many people pass by the computer labs with dubious hygiene standards, and the keyboards are never cleaned. Same goes for those public workstations in Starbucks or Pacific Coffee. Studies show that, like the piano I mentioned, keyboards are host to more diverse bacterial cultures than toilet seats, which are comparatively much cleaner. Better to keep to your own private keyboard in the comfort of your own home.

    What she might be

She has mixed feelings about India; likes Tibet; reads plenty; eats well; craves chocolate from time to time; is highly intelligent and diligent; has a sweet voice; loves her family; cares for her friends; forgot how to cook; dresses well; is subject to mood swings; lacks exercise; but has a beautiful smile.

    But oh the pain!

One can try hard, one can try smart. But it still seems that some people are difficult to interpret.

Dear all, the ViperFusion gallery is up again here.

Oh dear, why am I awake at this ungodly hour, if only to raise my daily bread and wine?
