According to a study done by 17,000 scientists measuring sea levels, temperatures and CO2 emissions worldwide, the conclusion is that global temperature increases are not due to increased carbon emissions, but are instead due to increased solar activity beyond human control. According to their measurements, global temperatures were already increasing at least 20 years before we started using fossil fuels.
They also conclude that curbing (reducing) carbon emissions is detrimental to economic growth, developing countries and human development.

I may have to agree with their scientific findings, but note that burning fossil fuels does not only increase carbon emissions, it also spews out sulphur dioxide and other pollutants that make acid rain. It is ridiculous to say that burning fossil fuels is OK simply because there is no correlation with ONE adverse factor, i.e. global warming. Look at the air… can you see across Victoria Harbour, can you see across 人民廣場? Lets make more dirty air!!! No.

There are some people who protest against the Olympic Games. There are then people who protest against the people protesting against the Olympic Games. I don’t get it.

Why bother to do all this when all there is to protest against is ignorance?

We should protest against the media, who portray us as cattle and people who sway to the siren music of mass-market ‘news’. We, university graduates, will never forgive the media for this.

I was invited to a Joey Yung concert by a good friend of mine, here’s an excerpt of the album I’m doing for her.

The Signboards are the subject of a separate formal sale and purchase agreement, dated 22 January 1994 and an Assignment dated 15 July 1994. In the latter the property assigned is described in the Second Schedule as follows:

As I have indicated, there simply are no signboards. There is only empty air. At the risk of being criticised for being too simplistic I emphasise that a signboard is a physical object. It is not empty space. It cannot be a two-dimensional plane because that can only exist in the realm of mathematics and not in the physical world.

Seems that judges are still amenable to philosophical argument.

Some people find their calling in life. Some college folk discover art and film to be their passion and instead of studying law, go off to study film critique instead. Some college folk just work to get a job. Some people get both and others get neither.
