    IE is high risk

Written by Cliff on Wednesday 17 December 2008 at 12:52 am

Even though I make all my clients’ websites functionally compatible with IE6 and IE7, we advise them to stop using it because of related security issues. Now, we cite BBC for the information that IE is insecure and can pose a high-level risk to an organisation’s valuable assets. There is no longer any excuse to use IE, especially if you work in an investment bank or law firm. If you cite that IT won’t allow it, cite the BBC article and take it to their boss. It is time for change.

    Insurance, etc.

Many people are scared of insurance agents, people who call you up at 4:49pm asking you whether you are interested in insurance. Most people are scared because they don’t want insurance and therefore are annoyed at the prospect of having to somehow cut the line without affecting their conscience. But insurance is a good thing. Imagine shipping 5,000,000 barrels of oil without insurance. But your life is more valuable than that, right?
    Maybe not.

A deathly radio silence. Some pain. Oh well, hang in there. Exam season is not over yet.

    Democracy in another language

3,000 years ago, the Chinese already had a concept of democracy, or rule by the people. Although there was a king, the government system was designed, in theory, to feed back the voices of the people to Him so that He could make decisions best for the people.

    The Radar

So its OK to sink under the radar and not respond to any call or message? A knock comes to mind, or my radar was made in China.

    What is it?

So I was told that I received a package today from some Uni hall. I wonder whether to go home to open it or whether I should take it to Sheung Shui to open it. At least any potential anthrax would do less damage (or kill some pigs) there.

    Hmmmmm…
