Using Subversion with Coda

Written by Cliff on Sunday 21 September 2008 at 12:46 am

Subversion is insanely complex (un-mac-like) for the part-time developer on a mac who uses Coda thinking it can help him because it is so simple to use. So I’ve written this PDF file to help us hapless developers set up a repository on our development servers and use it with Coda.

HEY! You might edit your pdf to make it clear there IS NOT whitespace between the ‘create /’ and the ‘Users/~’

Also, just a thought, the link to download does not open in a new tab, which it should, and doesn’t go to the URL displayed.

I swap the /Users/~ directory to ‘/Users/YouMacUsername/Desktop/myFirstSvnRepo’ We love our desktop, and we are more comfortable with it.

I would also preface that this might not work for teams. (because it’s hosted on one personal computer)
